Camera and Scanner Permissions
With your permission, we access your device camera to scan book barcodes (ISBN). Images are processed locally and are not stored or transmitted unless you explicitly save them.

How We Share Your Information
Public Collections
When you make a collection public and share its link, the following information becomes visible to anyone with the link: collection name, description, books in the collection (titles, authors, ISBNs, cover images), and your ratings. Your personal notes are never shared publicly.
Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate our Service:
- Supabase: Authentication and database hosting (see Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Vercel: Application hosting and delivery
- Open Library API: Book information lookup (no personal data shared)
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or the public.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, row-level security on database queries, and regular security updates. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention
